Logistics is the science of planning and carrying out the movement and maintenance of forces. Marines in this field are responsible for providing general and direct support above the organic capabilities of the support element of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force, assisting in both assaults and offshore operations. Education in this field includes automated information systems, equipment total lifecycle management, parachute rigging and mumping, transportation throughput operations, and facilities management.
